Writing Queer Transgression
Millennial queerness can have a moralistic bent to it that looks askance at even the mildest of transgressions, let alone villainy.
What ever happened to exploring complex characters coming to imperfect conclusions?
In this workshop, we’ll write bad queers, dumb decisions, and three dimensional queer characters–not because they’re good (though they may be) but because they exist.
We’ll spend 45 minutes discussing and reviewing some antiheroes and assholes, then write on a few prompts that help us explore the impacts of wounded queers and bad behavior.
