Our next selection for the Unicorn Bar’s Queer Classics Book Club is Open Throat by Henry Hoke, the story of a queer mountain lion living under LA’s Hollywood sign. According to The Guardian, “The writing is so sinuous, so wry and muscular, yet with a padding, pawing playfulness, that you’re ready to go anywhere Hoke wants to take you.” We’ll gather to discuss the book at the Unicorn on Thursday, April 23rd from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
