Pride In The Sky 2026 Hike @ Franny Reese Park

Join the Palisades Parks Conservancy (the nonprofit partner of your favorite bi state park system) and Queer Walks & Hikes (organizer of 70+ queer outings in NYC and beyond) for a hike to Franny Reese State Park, one of 29 sites in the Palisades Interstate Park System.

Kick off Pride with a gentle 4.7 mile hike over the Walkway and through Franny Reese, culminating at the Ulster County Festival. From there, hikers can make the 1.28 mile journey over the Walkway back to the Dutchess side at their own pace to head home or join the Flag Procession, Queer Family Festival, DJ, and dancing on the Walkway!

Hike Route
The hike will depart from the base of the Walkway Elevator on the Dutches County Side of the Walkway. Hikers will travel up the elevator, across the Walkway, and around the White Trail Loop in Franny Reese State Park. The Hike will conclude on the Ulster County side at Highland Landing Park to enjoy the Ulster Festival. Hikers can then make the 1.5 mile walk back to the Dutchess County side at their own pace to head home or join the Flag Procession at 6PM.

Itinerary
For those joining the event from NYC
10:30AM: Meet up with Queer Walks & Hikes at the Grand Central Terminal Clock

For those joining the event on site at the Walkway
1:30-2:00 PM: Meet at the base of the Walkway Elevator on the Dutchess County Side (ground level)
2:00 PM: Hike Departs
4:00 PM: Arrive at Highland Landing Park for Ulster Festival. Hike formally disassembles.
6:00 PM: Ulster Festival Ends & Flag Procession begins assembly on the Dutchess County Side
