More Than A Feeling Presents: UNITARD in Holiday On Thin Ice

UNITARD is a wildly twisted, brilliantly outspoken, hilarious, fabulous comedy trio from NYC. Combining the talents of Mike Albo, Nora Burns and David Ilku, Unitard is a series of comic sketches and monologues skewering social, political, and sexual mores. Smart, specific, and irreverent, Unitard has a gay sensibility though some of their most ardent fans refer to themselves as “straight”.

Collectively and individually their work has been seen on NPR, Bravo, VHI, Logo TV, and Comedy Central and they have performed at numerous venues including: We’re Funny That Way, Toronto, Aspen Comedy Festival, Toyota Comedy Festival, Joe’s Pub, PS122, HBO Workspace, Highways, SF Sketchfest, Andy Warhol Museum, and clubs in Provincetown, Boston, Portland, Seattle and more.

And the Very Special Guest Gloria Gross-Glorius!

Gloria Gross-Glorius

Out of retirement for one night only, for the love of The Gays and free drinks, it’s Gloria Gross-Glorius. GG-G comes to us from writer/performer/musician Lex Powell who is currently developing a comedic TV series about the Fertility Industrial Complex, for which they are a 2024 Fellow in the Moonshot Pilot Accelerator. Lex is the creator and host of the In Character series, an interview show that invites guests to undergo a surprise makeover and improvised green screen experiment, and the award-winning director of the Hearsay & Hyperbole multimedia performance ensemble. Recent plays include OK GURGLE (co-written with Candace Thompson – about digital surveillance/data collection and our dangerous attachment to artificial assistants), Not For Resale (co-written with Jess Barbagallo – a musical play about the commodification of Queer culture, for which they were awarded the 2018 NADTA Performance Award), An Invitation to Sleep, All Them That Weave The Wind, and Thank You For Calling. Lex composed and performed music in Sibyl Kempson’s 12 Shouts to the Ten Forgotten Heavens at the Whitney Museum and Sasquatch Rituals at The Kitchen. They have been a member of the Meerkat Media Arts Collective, the MT+NYC writing residency, and the Brooklyn Film Collective. https://www.lexpowell.com IG: @lex_growl
