bombón jollytheys is a gathering for queer black/brown/migrant joy. This never-done-before bombón edition is particularly special to us, not only because we have always skipped the winter bombón, but because together we get to center our collective joy perreando in complicated times.
Let’s make this a bombón where we get to practice our collective joy as an act of resistance. Co-create with us the kind of dancefloor you deeply yearn to experience.
Our perreo gathering where mainstream and experimental perreo sounds meet. We blast the new bangers, the nostalgic oldies and lift up el genero’s underdogs. We are based in the so-called Hudson Valley, primarily Kingston, NY. As we gather, we invite all attendees to co-create safe, intentional, liberated dancefloors where we can express our energy and identity freely while centering and uplifting queer black and brown experiences.
