Beginner Wheel Throwing

This beginner wheel throwing class introduces the essential techniques of working on the pottery wheel. Students will learn centering, pulling walls, and creating simple forms while building a strong foundation in ceramics. Emphasis is placed on skill-building and confidence at the wheel.

Meet your instructor: Kristina Lincoln (they/them) is a Kingston based potter who has been teaching wheel throwing for 3 years. They learned to throw in 2014 at Colorado College where they studied Art History. Their goal to meet their students where they are is centered around a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment. When they aren’t throwing, you might find them baking, hiking, or walking their 7 year old Chihuahua!
