Every Fall, as the apple trees and pumpkin patches swell, Big Gay Hudson Valley makes sure to welcome the season in the best way that we know how: Haaayrides and apple picking, of course!

BGHV’s annual all-ages Upstate New York queer fall festival, Out on the Farm, is back on Saturday October 1st from 4p-10p at Wilklow Orchards (341 Pancake Hollow Road, Highland). This FREE night out with your LGBTQ+ family features:

  • Tractor Rides (4p – sunset)
  • Apple Picking* (4p – sunset)
  • Hot, Fresh Apple Cider Donuts*
  • Pumpkin Painting* (4p – sunset)
  • Kids Crafts with the Dutchess Pride Center (4p – sunset)
  • “Pride in a Bottle” sand crafting with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center (4p – sunset)
  • Beats from Superior Sounds
  • Pizzas & snacks from Wilklow Orchards’ on-site food trucks*
  • Hard cider, wine & beer from the on-site Bad Seed Cider Farm Bar*

*These items will be available for purchase via cash or charge

This event is appropriate for all ages. Dogs are welcome at the farm so long as they are kept on a leash.

Out on the Farm is free to attend, we just ask that everyone please register in advance so that we can anticipate how many to expect. BGHV is proud to make events like Out on the Farm available for free to the community throughout the year. If you’d like to help us underwrite the cost of Out on Farm, a ticket is available for that.
