BGHV’s annual family-friendly fall fest returned on Friday October 8, 2021 with an all-new home at Highland’s Wilklow Orchards. Nearly 450 folks came out for haaayrides, apple picking, pumpkin painting, cider donuts, crafts by The Dutchess Pride Center and dancing to the beats of Superior Sounds.

This is just one of the many events coming to the first capital of New York the weekend of June 13 - 16.

One of the world’s largest rainbow flags is comi

One of the world’s largest rainbow flags is coming to the Hudson Valley this Friday, May 17th for Big Gay Hudson Valley’s Pride In The Sky celebration on the Walkway Over The Hudson!

Measuring 16 ft wide and nearly 1000 feet long we have more than 150 flag marshals that have volunteered to carry this GIANT flag from Dutchess to Ulster County at 7:30p that evening!

This flag was handcrafted in 2003 by Gilbert Baker - the designer of the original rainbow flag - to commemorate the 25th anniversary of our iconic community symbol. The original was 1.2 miles long and iconically spanned the island of Key West. While the whole flag is no longer intact, we’re excited to be showcasing the largest remaining portion of this piece of queer history.
