We’re weren’t kiddin’ around as 55 happy campers took over Poughkeepsie’s Sprout Creek Farm for BGHV’s 2nd annual Baby Goat Weekend on March 9th + 10th. This Upstate Gay Adventure offered an intimate and immersive experience working side-by-side with the team at a working Upstate dairy farm as we made & tasted cheeses, got our hands dirty with some farm chores and – most importantly – romped around with the herd of newborn baby goats!
Other activities included baby goat yoga, a wine & cheese tasting with Germantown’s Tousey Winery, a live concert by John Francisco of Mister John’s Music and a rousing Sunday brunch featuring Match Game hosted by Hudson’s Trixie Starr. Sprout Creek Farm also offers many overnight summer camps for kids, making their on-site cabins the perfect space for full weekend registrants to spend the night at the farm.
