Let’s spread some Joy, friends!

It all starts this week when HUNG With Care debuts at City Winery Hudson Valley on Black Friday, November 29th!

Hosted by Paige Turner, the burlesque antics continue at the Rosendale Theatre on Thanksgiving Saturday, November 30th - and they continue through Sunday, December 1st when the show premieres at Lark Hall in Albany!

One week later, BGHV and the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center will present the Hudson Valley’s first-annual Jingle Bell Dash in Uptown Kingston on Saturday, December 7th at 9am!

Attendees are encouraged to strip down - or dress up - in their own creative and festive holiday looks and dash through the streets of Kingston to raise funds in support of the youth programs of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center.

Queer Icon JOHN WATERS is coming LIVE and in-person to Kingston on Monday, December 16th! This is the first - time that his holiday show, A John Waters Christmas, is coming to the Hudson Valley, and you won’t want to miss it!

We all love Provincetown’s Jingle Bell Run and A

We all love Provincetown’s Jingle Bell Run and Albany’s Santa Speedo Race, and now we can all rejoice because Kingston is getting its very-own Jingle Bell Dash!

BGHV and the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center have partnered to present the Hudson Valley’s first-annual Jingle Bell Dash in Uptown Kingston on Saturday, December 7th at 9am!

Attendees are encouraged to strip down - or dress up - in their own creative and festive holiday looks and dash through the streets of Kingston to raise funds in support of the youth programs of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center.

Starting at the pride crosswalk outside of 300 Wall Street, the dash will take participants down Wall Street, Across Front Street, up Fair Street, across Main Street and back down Wall Street to the Community Center.

Spectators are encouraged to dress in their holiday finest and gather along the route and cheer on those dashing through Uptown Kingston!

The Hotel Kinsley will host a Jingle Bell Dash pre-party starting on Saturday, December 7th at 8am, offering Espresso Martini specials and hot cider (with or without spirits) to dashers that want to warm-up and build up their liquid courage to run through the streets of the Stockade in just a whisper of clothing.

Spectators are also welcome to fuel up at this event at The Kinsley!

Registration for the Jingle Bell Dash is $25 with funds raised going to benefit the youth programs of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center.

Prizes are being offered for the best looks! So undress to impress! First and second place prizes earn free VIP tickets (with a very special group therapy session and photo opp!) for A John Waters Christmas on Monday, Dec 16th at the Old Dutch in Kingston.

It’s a short walk, jaunt, stroll or dash around Uptown for a great cause with our incredible community - and we can’t wait to see everyone at the Jingle Bell Dash on Saturday morning, December 7th!

Over the years we’ve traveled around with shows

Over the years we’ve traveled around with shows like HUNG With Care to help spread some holiday cheer!

This year Queer Joy is needed like never before - and we’re thrilled to bring HUNG to City Winery In Montgomery on Black Friday, the Rosendale Theater on Saturday, November 30th and Lark Hall in Albany on December 1st.

This is third year that we’ve presented the show at City Winery and we’re excited to also introduce our first wine - Upstate Gay Rosé - as part of this year’s event! If you purchase a table with premium seating for four, you’ll receive a bottle with your ticket purchase. You can even purchase individual bottles at City Winery as holiday gifts for friends and family.

This year also marks our return to The Rosendale Theater. Last year we took the show to SUNY New Paltz, but after hearing that you missed the bar and the ability to enjoy drinks during the show, we’re bringing the show back on Saturday night, Nov 30th.

Then onto Albany’s Lark Hall on December 1st! For many years we’ve produced HUNG With Care elsewhere in the Capital District, but many of you have asked us to bring the closer to Lark Street. That said, we didn’t just do that - we’re hosting it at Lark Hall right in the middle of everything!

New York State’s first-ever gathering for LGBTQ+

New York State’s first-ever gathering for LGBTQ+ Pride Organizers and Advocates - The Empire State of Pride conference - was held in Syracuse on Friday, November 8th.

The full-day conference welcomed 120+ attendees to Syracuse, New York’s ‘Center City’ for a day of workshops, panels and discussions, all focused on supporting the needs of Pride organizers across the Empire State.

With sessions focused on Community Engagement, Marketing, Diversity, Accessibility, Tourism, Fundraising and so much more, we were particularly thankful to the State agencies that joined us to share their resources and knowledge with our attendees.

The Empire State of Pride conference is produced by @biggayhudsonvalley and @comeoutcny with support from @iloveny @visitsyracuse @cnycf @cnypride and @iheartmediahv - A huge thank you goes out to all of our partners and sponsors for helping to make this conference possible.

We’re always Proud here in New York State - and we’re excited to see what our attendees create with their new found knowledge and connections that the Empire State of Pride conference made possible.
