Trans Youth Group
Trans Youth Group is a safe place for transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming, gender fluid or gender questioning youth 18 and under to socialize and be themselves in a supportive and accepting space. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30pm.

Big Gay Hudson Valley presents an evening of stories & ideas for action during these turbulent and uncertain times for our LGBTQ+ communities.

The event will feature a screening of One Story at a Time: Celeste Lecesne, a short film produced by TMI Project about Celeste Lecesne, co-founder of The Trevor Project and The Future Perfect Project, whose actions lead to the founding of a globally-recognized organization which has helped countless queer youth find safety and belonging.

Accompanying the screening, BGHV co-founder Stephan Hengst will host a panel discussion focused on the small actions we can all take to support both our communities and queer Hudson Valley youth.

Joined by Celeste Lecesne, film director Eva Tenuto, TMI Project storytellers and local leaders like State Senator Michelle Hinchey and Peter Criswell, Chair of the Ulster County Legislature and Alan Ince of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center. The panel will provide insight on how we can all get involved with politics, businesses, and other organizations to create meaningful change right here at home.

Come for the storytelling and leave emboldened with concrete actions you can take to make our Hudson Valley community a safe space for all to love, live and thrive.

All proceeds will benefit TMI Project and The Future Perfect Project in support of co-produced local queer youth programming.

Big Gay Hudson Valley’s Gay Gasp marks the arrival of Spring in the Hudson Valley! Get ready to gather at Assembly in Kingston as we clutch those pearls and laugh your ass off with the incredible talents of our spectacular stand-up comics.

Our second annual Queer Comedy Showcase proudly features the wits of Jake Cornell, Sydnee Washington and Esther Fallick.

Doors open at 7pm for cocktails and other libations beverages with our community thanks to our friends at Kingston’s newest venue – Assembly!

The good vibes and beats will be served up for cocktail hour, with the show starting at 8pm.

The show will contain adult themes and is appropriate for audiences 18+

Book ahead and save: General Seating tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.
