Uncanny Valley Puppet Slam
Back by popular demand, Uncanny Valley Puppet Slam is returning to the Lobby at the Ritz with a fabulous array of new works! Join us on March 28th at 7pm for the next iteration of short-form puppetry performances… for grown-ups. Uncanny Valley is Newburgh’s first-ever puppet slam, presenting an eclectic mix of puppetry styles and performances featuring puppeteers from the Hudson Valley, NYC, and beyond. This exciting all-new show is presented as part of the 2026 Hudson Valley Puppetry Festival. Tickets on sale now!
Taking inspiration from the worlds of vaudeville and cabaret, and from experimental theater, art, music, and dance, puppet slams are curated short-form puppetry acts for adult audiences that can be humorous, dark, thought-provoking, or all of the above.
Hosted by Liz Joyce, Uncanny Valley will feature performances by William PK Carter, Carole D’Agostino, Opal Elwell, Scott Hitz, Chris Palmieri, Cabot Parsons, and Brad Shur.
