Silver Connections 4th Tuesday Open House
The LOFT’s 55 and older LGBT Senior Outreach program, Silver Connections, Open Houses feature a light lunch and a speaker on topics of health, wellness, diversity, entertainment, and education.
The White Plains Open Houses take place on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Tuesday of every month at 11:30 am.
March 28th topic – Marriage as a Social Construct: What’s Love Got To Do With It? with Nicole Browand
This seminar, offered by Westchester Community College’s Mainstream Programs for Mature Adults, will trace the history of marriage as a social institution in our country from the pioneer era, though prohibitions against slave marriage, polygamy, cross-racial marriage, and finally same-sex marriage. Come and learn about the institution of marriage and how it came to be what it is today!
