RAISE YOU UP! – a PRIDE Cabaret

Peekskill, NY. Theatre in the Wood, in collaboration with GLEASON’S in Peekskill, is excited to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community – performers and audience – focusing on the stories of the community as represented by Broadway composers.

RAISE YOU UP! – A PRIDE CABARET will be presented Friday and Saturday nights, June 13 & 14 at 9:00 pm on the stage at Gleason’s – 23 South Division Street, Peekskill, NY . Conceived and directed by Katie Schmidt Feder, this show is part revue, part cabaret, part burlesque. Justin Wingenroth, director of The Dance Conservatory will co-choreograph and dance a solo piece. With TEN diverse veteran and emerging professional performers and a three-piece band led by Music Director, Katie Luekens Chan Chee, featuring musicians Wyeth Tvenge on Bass, Nate Brewster on Drums: this evening show will RAISE YOU UP!

Music honoring the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community is sourced from shows including: La Cage Aux Folles, Lempika, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Write Out Loud, Cabaret, The Violet Hour, Lizard Boy, Octet, Falsettos, Kinky Boots and more! The cast includes Miguel Acevedo, Jessica Beitscher, Allie Bon, Mario Giacolone, Ryan Hontz, Katie Luekens Chan Chee, Nick Nazario, Katie Schmidt Feder, Justin Wingenroth, Tanya Wills.

Tickets for this show do not include food or drink. A minimum purchase of two items is required. This show is intended for an adult audience.
