No One is Free Until Everyone is Free – Night of Black Queer Manifestation
The Black History Month edition of Night of Black Queer Manifestation is a reading of inspiring words by black queer/trans/allied ancestors like Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, Lorraine Hansberry, Marsha P. Johnson, bell hooks and others. Black community members will be reading these works in the spirit of Fannie Lou Hammer’s famous quote, “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.” This gathering is an opportunity to honor black LGBTQ ancestors who walked, activated and lit up the path to freedom for everyone.
