BGHV’s Gay Gasp marks the arrival of Spring in the Hudson Valley! Get ready to clutch those pearls and laugh your ass off with the incredible talents of our spectacular stand-up comics.
Doors open at 7pm for beverages with your community in the Rosendale Theatre’s bar and main performance space. Show starts at 8pm.
The show will contain adult themes and is appropriate for audiences 18+

Meet the Cast
Sam Morrison | @samuelhmorrison
Sam Morrison is a Brooklyn based comedian and writer. He was recently named a New Face at the 2023 Just for Laughs Festival, made his late night television debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers, performed on Comedy Central Featuring, and his solo show Sugar Daddy played Off Broadway for 14 weeks, after three encore encore engagements and a sold out run in London.
He is a staple of the Brooklyn comedy scene & regular at the Comedy Cellar among other clubs. He is also a Stand Up NBC Finalist, has performed on The Drew Barrymore Show, appeared on Watch What Happens Live & Tamron Hall, and was a staff writer on Bravo’s Blind Date.

Sheria Mattis | @sheriamattiscomedy
Born and bred in Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Sheria Mattis is an NYC stand up comedian to watch out for. Sheria’s comedy is always unapologetically Black, queer, fun, raunchy, and honest.
She talks about body positivity, fibroids, sexuality, and gentrification in a way that makes any audience come away feeling informed and exhausted from laughter.
She has written for Reductress, Netflix is a Joke, Leslie Jones, Fran Drescher, and Abby Terkuhle. She’s been a Standup NBC, and Funny Women Awards semi-finalist, and a Yaass Queer Comedy Festival Finalist.
Nico Carney | @nicocarney
Nico Carney is a Brooklyn based standup comedian, actor and writer. His standup covers his experiences as a trans man growing up in Savannah, Georgia and whatever else he finds silly and interesting.
Nico’s monthly show at Club Cumming, BOYS’ CLUB, was recently a headliner at the 2022 New York Comedy Festival and has been spun off into a popular podcast. Nico was a part of the NETFLIX INTRODUCING… showcase at the 2022 Netflix Is A Joke Festival, has been featured on Comedy Central’s The Gag and is developing the half hour comedy BOYS with Imagine Entertainment and Scott King.
