First Friday City of Poughkeepsie Presents Cinco de Mayo
Join us on Friday, May 4th, from 5-8:30pm, join us for First Friday Poughkeepsie’s Cinco de Mayo themed festivities located at Mural Square, 253 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Mexican attire to celebrate culture!
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a new craft beer specifically brewed for this event by Mill House Brewing Co., or sip on their favorite margarita from Milo’s Cantina. Local restaurants will prepare their most authentic or inspired cuisine to fit the theme. And there’s plenty for the kids, including a bounce house, face painters, and a petting zoo with llamas.
Live performers include Mariachi Sol Azteca, Carica Geigel and Estee Lavoe, along with dance performances by Grupo Folklorico Mixtonalli and Grupo Folklorico de Poughkeepsie. Michelle Barone-Lepore, First Friday Poughkeepsie Emcee, and DJ Smitty will keep the crowd entertained before and after the live music performances. And as always, the event will kick off with a word from City of Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison.
