Emily King
Emily was born and raised in New York City’s lower east side. She began her career playing venues in Greenwich village and was soon discovered by Clive Davis who signed her to his J Records label at the age of 21.
King has toured extensively, most recently headlining a European tour as well as performing alongside Norah Jones on her Visions tour and Jacob Collier on his North American Djesse Vol. 4 tour. King is a cross genre artist collaborating with an array of acclaimed contemporaries such as Robert Glasper, Sara Bareilles, Brittany Howard, Lukas Nelson and Jon Batiste to name a few.
A songwriter’s songwriter, King has written and released several critically acclaimed albums including “Seven” and “The Switch.” Her most recent album “Special Occasion” received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B.
King is currently working on a new release with Making Music Records from her home in the Catskill Mountains.
