Brian Dewan: Electric Parlor Music

Bridge Street Theatre presents Electric Parlor Music, a one-night performance by Catskill-based multimedia artist Brian Dewan. The evening features original songs that function as poetic stories, accompanied by electric zither, autoharp, and accordion, blending humor, curiosity, and heartfelt storytelling. Subjects range from outsiders and UFOs to records, longing, and the odd corners of everyday life. The program also includes a screening of Dewan’s handcrafted filmstrip The Tide Waits For No Man. Dewan has presented his work at major institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the New Museum, and the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
