An Edgewater Cabaret: A Musical Evening on the Hudson

Join us on the lawn at Edgewater on the evening of June 17th for a special musical event in recognition of Pride Month, acknowledging the great contributions of the LGBTQAI+ community to the arts. Edgewater has a fascinating queer history spanning from the 1950s, when writer and intellectual Gore Vidal owned the estate, to its transition as the home of Dick Jenrette and Bill Thompson, who remained lifelong partners.

Dick and Bill were great supporters of the arts. They especially loved musical theater which is why CAHPT is delighted to host our first cabaret evening set against the backdrop of their historic home on the Hudson.  A donation of $100 grants entry to the cabaret. We are thrilled to host this event in support of two important New York State based organizations: ArtsIgnite and NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project.

It will be an early summer lawn party so come in your weekend best. Beverages and light refreshments will be served!
