Light Up the Night in Rainbow

Rainbow Bridge Lighting

The Walkway’s brand new LED lighting system will have portions of the pathway illuminated in a wash of rainbow light for this first-time Pride celebration on the park.

Illuminated Costumes & Decor

What better way to make the most of a nighttime Pride event than to light it up! In addition to the rainbow lighting on the Walkway, everyone is encouraged to come in their best illuminated look. From bracelets & flashlights to full costumes & puppets, we want to see that night sky glowing with Pride.

One Epic Celebration, Two Community Festivals

Kick off PRIDE season in the Hudson Valley and plan out your calendar by meeting the local organizations producing events throughout the month of June and others in our queer Upstate community.

Community festivals will be on both sides of the Walkway Over the Hudson from 6p – 8p so be sure to arrive early and give yourself time to experience both.

Vendors including Fruition Chocolate Works and others will be set up on both sides of the Walkway selling food & non-alcoholic beverages. Food and non-alcoholic beverages can be taken onto the Walkway Over the Hudson.

Bad Seed Hard Cider and City Winery Hudson Valley will have a beverage garden set up on the Ulster and Dutchess sides of the Walkway, respectively, where alcohol may be purchased and consumed. Please note that alcohol is not permitted on the Walkway and cannot be taken outside of the demarcated beverage garden.

Live Entertainment for All Ages

iHeartMedia’s local radio stations will be broadcasting from the Community Festivals at each end of the Walkway while DJ Ali Gruber spins up a dance party all night long at the center of the bridge. Be sure to snap a photo and serve a look with one of the locally-sourced featured performers strutting their stuff on the Walk(run)way.

Pride Flag Procession Across the Walkway

At 7:30p, a group of 100+ flag marshals will parade a 15-foot wide, 500-foot long portion of Gilbert Baker’s original 8-color Pride flag from the Dutchess County (east) side of the Walkway over the river to the Ulster County (west) side.
