We loved seeing all the families and youth that joined us at the Queer Families Festival that we created in partnership with our friends at @dutchesspride - and @katarinamirage - thank you for another great story time event!

@broadwayinbeacon , you brought the show with your cabaret on the Highland side of the Walkay; and what a surprise it was to have @hannahcorneau join us to perform from the Frozen and Wicked songbooks.

Thank you to everyone that helped us to cross the walkway with some of the world’s largest rainbow and transgender Pride flags; we were thrilled to have our friends at the @gilbert_baker_foundation there to lead the charge and ensure that our flags will fly for generations to come!

Over the last two years Pride In The Sky has broug Over the last two years Pride In The Sky has brought together thousands of members of our community to kick off Pride season on the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie + Highland, New York.

We’re so excited to bring this FREE event back for a third year on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 3pm to 10pm.

Looking back over the photos of the people of Pride In The Sky, one of the most profound things that stands out to us is the diversity of the attendees. This event is for everyone and its truly makes us PROUD to see how the Walkway continues to connect us ALL for an evening of pure joy 212 ft. in the air above the Hudson River.

As the editorial team at Chronogram recently wrote: “Pride in the Sky has, in short order, become one of those events that feels inevitable in retrospect. The Walkway—once a railroad bridge, now a linear park—was always going to be a stage for something like this. The only surprise is how quickly it has filled that role, drawing thousands into a shared space where celebration and landscape reinforce each other. Pride, here, doesn’t just march. It crosses.”

We hope that you’ll join us - and our Hudson Valley community - on the Walkway on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Register online now for this FREE event at biggayhudsonvalley.com/pride.
