Hey Hey everyone – welcome to another Big Gay weekend! We hope you all had a fabulous time in the lower Hudson Valley last weekend at the annual Gay Pride Rockland festival in Nyack. Keeping the Pride vibes flowing, this weekend we head upstream to Catskill & Hudson for their second and first pride festivals, respectively. Catskill’s Pride takes place on Saturday, June 19th, and Hudson’s Pride parade and festival is happening on Sunday, June 20th.
Our dear friend and resident matron of fabulousness, Trixie Starr, has pulled together an AMAZING lineup of festivities to celebrate Hudson’s eclectic past and quirky present during its first-ever Pride event. Take a trip up the river this weekend and see BGHV’s float in the City of Hudson Pride festival on Sunday – you won’t be disappointed!
If you happen to be in Rhinebeck this weekend, be sure to stop by the bluecashew Kitchen Pharmacy on Saturday, June 19th for a book signing and party with the O’so fabulous “hostess” Michael Leva from 4pm to 7pm.
Planning your itinerary for next weekend? Be sure to include the purchase of tickets to the All Love, All Woodstock benefit party for the ACLU and Constance McMillen on Friday, June 25th on your to do list. This is certain to be one of the biggest – and most fabulous – events of PRIDE season – and it is happening right here in the Hudson Valley (Woodstock to be exact) next weekend.
