8318_1270479959104_1143019304_1832883_3304888_nLast year hundreds of you came out to support the Hudson Valley AIDS Walk, and now you’re invited to join in the planning and organizing process for AIDS-Related Community Services’ largest, most visible and most important fundraising/awareness event of the year: the 2010 Hudson Valley AIDS Walk! ARCS need lots of creative, hard-working, dedicated, community-minded folks like you to make this year’s AIDS Walk the biggest and best ever!

Since 2008, ARCS has lost nearly $1 million in programming contracts, and donations from outside sources have also decreased (thanks, lousy economy!) Contributions raised at the Hudson Valley AIDS Walk will go a long way to keeping vital HIV prevention programs and services for our 1000+ clients intact.

This year’s Walk is slated to be held on Saturday, Sept. 25th on the Walkway Over the Hudson!

You are invited to come to an organizing kick-off meeting to find out how you can contribute! ARCS is inviting all who are interested to join them in their Poughkeepsie office at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20th. They provide some snacks: you provide the enthusiasm and excitement!

At this first meeting, they will discuss future monthly meeting leading up to the big event in September. However, if you can’t make each meeting (or you’re not sure if you can commit to coming to any one beyond this one), don’t let that discourage you! ARCS would like your input and feedback right from the start.

To RSVP for the April 20th meeting, please check out all the details on Facebook – and in the meanwhile, mark your calendars for the September 25th Hudson Valley AIDS Walk on the Walkway over the Hudson!
