Miss Coco Peru Takes Us to Church

Drag legend Miss Coco Peru’s long awaited return to the Hudson Valley rolled into Kingston and Albany in March 2022 with two sold-out shows. Over 650 attendees across the two shows laughed, cried and communed in the power of positivity, self-love and surviving a plague.

Queer Summer Nights: Orchard Disco

The first Saturday of each summer month was spent at our pop-up Orchard Disco, hosted by Highland’s Wilklow Orchards & DJ’d by Superior Sounds. The full spectrum of our community also got to enjoy our special edition Bad Seed x Big Gay Hudson Valley PRIDE cider at the Bad Seed Cider Farm Bar.

Paige Turner’s “Tucking Myself In”

Fresh off the heels of her summer season in Provincetown, MA, drag showbize spitfire, Paige Turner, returned to the Hudson Valley in September to take audiences on a hilarious live-sung romp through her boudoir as her show toured Marlboro’s Benmarl Winery, Kingston’s Old Dutch Church & West Sand Lake’s June Farms.

Out on the Farm: An All-Ages Upstate NY Queer Fall Festival

Out on the Farm – Big Gay Hudson Valley’s annual all-ages queer fall festival – was back in season at Highland’s Wilklow Orchards in October as over 400 people gathered at the farm for a day of apple picking, haaayrides, cider donuts, hard cider, dancing, and more.

Paige Turner’s DRAG Me to Christmas

Returning Upstate to make the holiday season merry + gay, drag showbiz spitfire, Paige Turner, entertained hundreds with her hilarious, all new yuletide cabaret, DRAG Me to Christmas, at Poughkeepsie’s Revel 32º and Rosendale’s namesake Rosendale Theatre.

HUNG With Care Turns 10

Big Gay Hudson Valley’s annual yuletide tradition – HUNG With Care: A Queer Holiday Burlesque Spectacular! – celebrated a blockbuster 10th anniversary with three shows performed to jam-packed audiences at Montgomery’s City Winery Hudson Valley, Rosendale’s Rosendale Theatre, Albany’s Linda Auditorium and a debut performance in Massachusetts at Provincetown Town Hall.
