HUNG With Care – Big Gay Hudson Valley’s queer holiday burlesque spectacular – has been titillating audiences since 2012. The original, fully scripted show is a scintillating sleigh ride of yuletide classics featuring performances from New York City’s premier cabaret artists with specialities ranging from burlesque to dance, circus acts, drag, live singing and so much more.
The 2023 season features two performances on Black Friday November 24th @ City Winery Hudson Valley (Montgomery) & Saturday November 25th @ SUNY New Paltz’s Studley Theater.
Kim David Smith (Emcee)
Described by Broadway World as the “David Bowie of cabaret,” “slyly subversive” by the Wall Street Journal, and labeled the “male Marlene Dietrich” by the New York Times, Kim David Smith, hailing from Australia, is a Helpmann Award nominated actor and cabaret artist, based in New York City. Smith’s debut live album “Kim David Smith Live at Joe’s Pub” received a 2022 Bistro Award, and is available to stream or download via iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.
Kim’s most recent cabaret programme, “Mostly Marlene,” debuted at NYC’s Club Cumming (March, 2020), has toured to the 2021 Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Club Cumming on the Coast (Kennebunkport, ME), frequently returned to Club Cumming in the East Village (2021), and Café Sabarsky at the Neue Galerie (2022, 2023), and has been recorded live at Joe’s Pub, to be released as Kim’s next recording project.
“A Wery Weimar Christmas,” also premiering at NYC’s Club Cumming (December 2019), manifested in 2020 as a virtual holiday apparition, streaming via Club Cumming Productions, and featuring special guests Alexis Michelle, Boy Radio, and Natalie Joy Johnson. A Wery Weimar Christmas returned to Club Cumming for in-person Yuletide performances in 2022 and 2023 (with guest appearances by Bright Light Bright Light, Boy Radio, Sidney Myer, K.T. Sullivan, and David LaMarr).
GoGo Gadget
Back for his 10th annual edition of Hung With Care, Gadget has served as a pioneer in the world of male burlesque. He has earned many awards including the title of The Bouncing Bubble Butt Beefcake of Burlesque. In 2019 he served as a headliner at the London Burlesque Festival and over the years has performed in Boston, New York City, Denver, Toronto, Paris, Stockholm and Vienna.
Known in the theatre world as Alberto Denis, he’s been involved with a wide range of productions including the Bessie’s Awards winning “Then She Fell” , “The Grand Paradise”, “Ghost Light” at Lincoln Center in 2017 and “Confection” commissioned by the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC in 2019.
Pearls Daily
An award winning showgirl, actress and filmmaker based in NYC, Pearls Daily has accumulated numerous credits onscreen and in theater, Most notably as “Mina Margery Crandon” in the macabre, Drama Desk Nominated Off-Broadway hit “Play Dead” directed by Teller and created by Todd Robbins, as “Minky Woodcock” in “Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini” and for her work on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.
Her body of work includes film, TV, stand-up, sketch comedy, theater, improv, magic, and burlesque and both critics and peers have called Daily “Masterful”, “Transcendent” and “High Energy”.
The New York Times has dubbed her “Glittering and talented”, ”Spirited” and “Ebullient”. Best of Off-Broadway has called her “Superb. A true comedic actress who deserves great accolades for her work.” Ms. Daily has entertained at such prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center, The Magic Castle, Radio City Music Hall, The Geffen Playhouse, The Box, The Hangar Theater, The Liberty Theater , Duane Park, 34 Below, and The Slipper Room.
Jack Barrow
Jack Barrow could easily be the love child of Freddie Mercury and Liza Minelli if they had a child that ended up being just as fabulous as they were.
Actor, dancer, educator, good old fashioned lover boy and co-producer of burlesque variety shows alongside GoGo Gadget. Catch the Crack, Rack & Sack Revue, every first Thursday of the month at C’mon Everybody and Rock Solid, every second and fourth Tuesday at NYC’s Rockbar.

Broody Valentino
The “Teddy Bear With Claws,” is a Boylesque performer based in New York City.
Balancing theatricality and camp has garnered him the epithet “The Telenovela of Burlesque” which has allowed him to: perform for the 2020 Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame (VHOF), the 2018 Life Ball in Vienna, Austria, headline at the 2019 Capitol Burlesque Expo in Ottawa, Canada, receive the Legends Award at the 2018 Burlypicks World Championship, and be crowned the reigning King of New Jersey Burlesque at the New Jersey Burlesque Festival.
His other awards include the titles Best Overall, Master of Improv, and Master of Amazement at the first New Jersey Burlypicks Regional, the Golden Tassel for Best Boylesque at the 2017 Philadelphia Burlesque Awards, and The Beautiful Weirdo award at the 2017 Alterna-tease Neo-burlesque festival.

Calamity Chang
This “Asian Sexsation” has made a mark in the burlesque world with her signature food-inspired (“foodlesque”) acts focusing on Asian culinary icons in popular culture such as Sriracha hot sauce, sushi roll, and cup o’ noodles. By fusing her love for food and her Chinese heritage in playful and sexy striptease performances, Calamity brings visibility to performers of color worldwide with a dash of whimsy and a peppering of good humor.
Named by The Huffington Post as one of the “20 Burlesque Stars To Know” and by 21st Century Burlesque as one of the Top 100 Burlesque Performers in the world, Calamity has performed for numerous esteemed events such as Inked Magazine (Pinup Issue Release Party 2015), Design Industries Foundation for Fighting Aids NYC, and celebrities such as Brooke Shields and the cast of The Addams Family, Corey Miller of LA Ink, and guest starred in Moby’s metal band DiamondSnake (“Woman, Yea”). Calamity has also appeared in reality TV shows such as “Oddities” (Science Channel) and “My Big Redneck Vacation” (Country Music Television). You can also see her in the controversial NC-17 film of 2011 “Shame” by Steve McQueen starring Michael Fassbender as “Late Night Lover #1”.
