📣 Pride In The Sky has been RESCHEDULED to SUND 📣 Pride In The Sky has been RESCHEDULED to SUNDAY, MAY 18th as a result of the forecast for rain and potential for thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon. 

✨EVENT SCHEDULE
We’re retaining as much of the Pride In The Sky event calendar as possible with a few adjustments to timing (see the list below). Our community festivals on both side of the Walkway will now start at 3PM and the event will now end at 9PM.

Next Saturday, May 17th: Let’s Get Out There & M Next Saturday, May 17th: Let’s Get Out There & Move at Pride In The Sky

Pride In The Sky features an entire day of events offering a great opportunity to get out there and move while also building community! Activities include our first-ever Pride Fun Run & Walk, A Queer Birding Excursion and a Proud Pet Pawrade on the Walkway! 

The Pride Fun Run & Walk happens at 10a on Saturday, May 17th - and with more than 75 registrations already, we’re expecting a great crowd of runners and walkers to join us!

The Pride In The Sky Celebration starts at 4p, and once the sun goes down everyone is invited to Dance in the Center of the Walkway to beats served up by Poughkeepsie’s very-own DJ @prephab from 6:30p to 10p

The events highlighted here each require individual pre-registration which can be found as individual tickets on the Pride In The Sky event page on biggayhudsonvalley.com. 

We ask that all Pride In The Sky attendees please register in advance for FREE so that we can anticipate the total number of attendees. We can’t wait to see you next weekend!

BGHV is excited to offer a new Queer Wings + Wild BGHV is excited to offer a new Queer Wings + Wild Things: Pride Birding Excursion on Saturday morning, May 17th as part of Pride In The Sky! 

Join NYC Queer Birders as they explore the Walkway Over the Hudson and look for and learn about the Hudson River’s avian creatures. 

Bring your own binoculars if you have them. Beginners welcome!

Join the group on Saturday, May 17th from 11am-12:30pm as part of the whole day of activities happening around Pride In The Sky!

Group will meet up at the Poughkeepsie (East) Gate Plaza at The Walkway Over the Hudson.

This event is FREE but pre-registration is requested via the link at the bottom of the Pride In The Sky page on biggayhudsonvalley.com

Calling all PROUD Runners, Walkers, Fitness Enthus Calling all PROUD Runners, Walkers, Fitness Enthusiasts and anyone that just wants to get out there and move - Big Gay Hudson Valley is hosting its first-ever Pride Fun Run on Saturday Morning, May 17th as part of an entire day of activities around Pride In The Sky!

We’ll begin gathering at 9:15am on May 17th - and at 10am our group will enjoy a Fun Run from the Highland side of the Walkway Over The Hudson to either the middle point and back (1.2 miles) - or if you’re really looking to push yourself - to the Poughkeepsie side and back (2.4 miles). 

There’s no official timing being offered for this first-time event - this Pride Fun Run is all about showing your PRIDE and gathering together with our community! That said, prizes will be offered for the best PRIDE looks! 🏳️‍🌈⭐️🦄

Participation in our Pride In The Sky Fun Run is FREE, although we do that you please register in advance at biggayhudsonvalley.com/prideinthesky - just select the Pride Fun Run Ticket from the event tickets when you sign up!

See you on the Walkway Over The Hudson on Saturday, May 17th!
