The Unseen Wars: Life with Mental Illness
The winter months are especially difficult for those struggling with mental health issues. Join us for an early evening that centers on creativity and the lived experiences of people with severe mental illness and their friends and family.
The program features a screening of the short film Dear Shop Girl by award-winning NY filmmaker Nira Burstein; readings from three time national SLAM poetry winner Nina Robins; and clinical perspectives from Integrative Psychiatrist Dr Galen Ballentine.
The event is designed to encourage audience interaction and create space for deep, honest conversation and empathy.
