I Beg Your Parton: Party & Sleepover
Hey HVH buds!!! Big news here at Hudson Valley Happenings! We’re hosting our first event! “I Beg Your Parton Party!” You’re gonna want to get on board! Join us for a super fun evening…dinner, dancing, cocktails, even swimming and all kinds of indoor fun!
It’s a Dolly Parton affair…no, no get your minds out of the gutter!!! It’s a country themed parteee…with international flair! Get out your finest denim, snazziest sheepskin, coziest flannel and, of course, those hot to trot cowboy (and girl) boots you love to rock! Rhinestones are recommended! It’s a Dolly theme party, natch! Bouffants are not required but a beehive-do will do. It’s up to you!
And ya fellas, bring that fancy 10-gallon cowboy hat! We like a dude with style! Or come in Drag and show up the ladies. We’ve even booked an entire lodge compound at Coyote Ridge Estate in bucolic Hancock, NY, on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 6pm – 11:30pm. Sleepover guests will get to check in at 3:00pm.
The party starts with Dolly delight cocktail hour. Outside will be Draughtwood, Rockland County’s first and only mobile bar and mixologist, making alcohol magic in a tricked out camper bar!
Think themed cocktails like “Jolene,” sweet tea vodka, peach schnapps, ginger beer, garnished with a mint sprig and fresh peaches! Or a “Pink Bunny” of prosecco, St. Germaine, pink glitter with a sugar rim.
Our private chef for the evening is none other than Zack Berger of Poughkeepsie. His love for food and travel combine to make ours an outstanding menu to remember.
Snack on small bites such as “Hush Puppies with a Syrian Southern twist (fried corn meal filled with local lion’s mane mushroom and served with harissa remoulade). Or Al Pastor Pulled Pork Sliders with traditional southern style pulled pork with an al pastor pineapple slaw and fajita pickles for a Southern Mexican mix. Yummmm!
Then on to a delish 3-course dinner. Our international meal with that snappy southern twist begins with a Korean Southern style salad. Picture an eye-popping mix of greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, black eyed peas, bacon, egg, pecans with Dolly-sized crumble of black garlic blue cheese. Mind blowing!
Enjoy an entree of chicken and waffles, a Chinese Southern blend. That’s bourbon honey char siu (five spice sweet & sour sauce) fried chicken or fish over a scallion tater tot waffle with porcini salted root veggies on the side.
Follow that lusciousness with a Caribbean Southern lemon poppy cake with hibiscus glaze! Oh My!
Dinner is paired with fine wines from Milea Estate Vineyard of Staatsburg. This premiere Hudson Valley winery, owned and operated by husband and wife team Barry and Sang Milea, prides itself on its sustainably produced regional wines and support of local Hudson Valley farmers. We will have a sommelier from the winery pouring and giving us all the deets on their spectacular wine
And, that’s just the eats and drinks! The whole evening is one big party!
Our private DJ will have us kicking up our heels. Dolly-inspired line dancing and more provided by our guest spinner. Dancing til dawn, darlings? Dolly style! It’s a hoedown, honey!
Inside is a huge indoor pool exclusively for our party guests. Marco Polo everyone? Pool volleyball?And the Clubhouse rules with not one but two pool tables, pingpong, corn hole tosses, a giant jenga, and every board game imaginable.
For us party lovin’ fanatics, we’ve made sure that you don’t have to drive home after all this fun! We reserved four suites (with private bathrooms) and six queen rooms (shared baths) at this luxe party palace. All guests will receive a swag by Kates Cocktails so you can take the party home
Those who choose to play and stay can walk the gorgeous wintery grounds of the estate or knock out a few laps at the pool the morning after! And, we’re putting on a big breakfast spread from Grizzly Bagels and Two Queens Coffee. Giddyup!
Our exclusive HVH happening is limited to just 18 people. You heard us right ONLY 18 PEOPLE. We wanted our first event to very affordable so everyone could attend. So come as a couple, as gal pals, as a solo and make some new friends who like to have fun as much as you do.
