Legal Name Change Clinic

Are you LGBTQ+ and looking to change you legal name to one that matches your authentic idenity? Does your legal name get in the way of applying for certain jobs, school, and public benefits? Do you just want to change your name but don’t feel like interacting with the court system? We’ve got you covered!

The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center and Legal Services of the Hudson Valley are teaming up to bring you this legal name change clinic. We’ll help you with the name change process so you can successfully complete the process and move forward with your life.

IMPORTANT: to RSVP and receive the clinic registration documents, please email arodriguez@lshv.org and say “I want to attend the legal name change clinic!”

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist everyone who asks for our help. If we determine that you are not eligible for participation in the Name Change Clinic, we will let you know prior to the clinic date, and connect you with other available resources.
