Floor One Gallery (owned by the fabulous Ty & Derek), located at 17 East Main Street in Beacon, is hosting an art opening for local big gay artist – Josh Jenkins. Raised in New York during his childhood, Josh moved to Kentucky during high school. He returned back to New York by the age of nineteen so that he could attend college and pursue his life long dreams of becoming an artist.
Josh is currently twenty-two and attending Marist College studying the arts. He is a striving artist hoping to make a life long living out of one of his greatest passions. Josh believes expressionism is one of the purest forms of art and one that is highly overlooked. Appreciating art for what it is, his work is all about self …whether it’s about the subject matter or the process of creating the piece. He believes that every line, stroke and scrape is just as important as the other… and you meet him this coming Saturday, July 11th from 6pm – 10pm.
