DESCRIPTION:Phantom of the Paradise is a 1974 American Rock Opera film written and directed by Brian De Palma. The story is a loosely adapted mixture of The Phantom of the Opera, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Faust and also briefly references Frankenstein and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Initially, it was a box office flop, but the film was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe and has since acquired a significant cult following.\nThe film is rated PG, however the performance includes adult language. Not recommended for those under 18 years of age.\nNOTE: No outside props allowed. Showtimes may change. Arrive 30 minutes early for tickets and other purchases!\nApoca-Lips Cast is an amateur group of performers that provides live shadow cast entertainment for the Hudson Valley and surrounding tri-state area. Our cast is a liminal space of the LGBTQA+ community, exploring culture through the art of cult-classic films.
