DESCRIPTION:\nFusing the power of watery Cancer season and fiery Leo season, the Grotesque Burlesque, a queer joy and magical coven of healing performing arts, presents to you: “Siren Fire”\nGet ready for a night of star powered mermaids/things/kings expressed through an interactive dreamy cabaret of song, drag, dance, shapeshifting, raunchy ritual and fun freakiness. Join us Friday July 25, 2025, for a 1.5-hour rainbow of a showcase – @the_grotesqueburlesque ( https://www.instagram.com/the_grotesqueburlesque/# )\n\n\nBring your $$$ and flowers to shower these serenading sirens as they take you into worlds you may or may not have felt existed. We are birthing new worlds of wonder and wildness together.\n\n\nThe GB has been creating queer artistic affinity spaces since 2021, based in the heart of Western MA. Most recently, their work was showcased through a full-length performance called “Dream” through the Pay-It-Forward cultural grant program at City Space in Easthampton MA, featuring over 10 multi–medium local artists. The GB began with DIY roots, performing out of a squatted artist lounge that brought together fringe performers to co-create cabarets of exceptional depth, love, play and power.\nThis troupe is spearheaded by Lex Grotesque (aka Jupiter Returned) a Black, transgender- nonbinary, queer, educator, performer, activist, and witch. Lex specializes in somatic healing, process arts, contemporary dance movement, theater arts, and curriculum development. Co-founder of Moon Prism Arts Collective; a queer makerspace & arts community in Easthampton, Ma, organizer of Northampton Pride & Literacy Educator and Teacher.\nPerformers include Murry Eyeball Grotesque, shapeshifting sonic forest witch & freaky fairy (recently relocated to Hudson Valley), Bex Grotesque, badass tattoo artist & tender trickster (Vermont), and Papa Grotesque, aka Skins, daddy drag magician and fierce lover (Western MA).
