His vibrant original songs and fresh arrangements of classic R&B and pop tunes have endeared him to audiences around the world.\nFor nearly a year and a half during the pandemic, Mr. Alsup took to the internet and offered weekly livestream concerts to his fans. To keep himself stimulated, he constructed intricate and lovingly detailed shows built around the songs and life stories of his favorite pop artists, including George Michael.
